Recently, as in the last couple weeks, I've been having a lot of fun trying to make collages. Here are a couple, with more to be added as I make more of them.
$400 OFF
This one was made for my art history class. My idea here was to take a painting we covered that the french academy did not like, and combine it with art they did like as a way of criticizing them for their strict restrictions on subject matter. I also had these other methods and color come in from the right to show where are would be headed, and the $400 OFF at the bottom kinda ties into the idea of this art being so bad they give it away, though it was more of an attempt to include a sort of Dadaist use of pre-existing works.

this one's a commentary on how despite being surrounded with ads, most of the time we tune them out and ignore them, making them ulitmately useless to some degree.
