Fanchannels

SiIvagunner is no stranger to imitation. From TimmyTurnersGrandDad and VvvvvaVvvvvvr to the endless amount of -Gunner channels, there has been one constant throughout SiIva's tenure. People taking the idea and slightly twisting it to fit their needs. This can be done by changing what can be ripped (RecordCollector1972 and ThatOneTVGuy spring to mind), changing the metadata (Mysikt and MusikFieveI spring to mind), or simply making rips that follow the same format with different jokes. I myself ran a SiIvaGunner fanchannel, KVGM, which generally uploaded anything submitted to it, with metadata similar to SiivaGunner's.

TimmyTurnersGrandDad

TTGD is notable for a few things.
1. Massive single-source events
2. Giving rippers credit in the description (which SiIvaGunner does not do)
3. Ending in late 2025.

TTGD unfortunately ceased operations late last year, with members of quality control deciding to step down. TTGD rips were on par with SiivaGunner for the most part, and it generally served as a place where the new ripping memes would be born via oversaturation, as seen with Gadget Room, In the Room, and 100 Sunny. For most of it's life TTGD stood as the closest thing SiIva had to an equal, without much competition. TTGD maintained a similar level of quality, especially later in life, but remained much smaller than SiIvaGunner, as when you compete with something offering bi-hourly uploads, only truly dedicated fans will watch your stuff.

VvvvvaVvvvvvr

Vavr was effectively SiIvaGunner but with no quality control or rules beyond "don't get the channel taken down", and no quality controls. originally made to parody the extensive amounts of fancnannels that existed which were words with -Gunner at the end. Despite these origins, which would lead you to think this project would last like a month tops, Vavr kept growing forming its own series of memes and injokes that would culminate in the end of chapter one. Notable memes include the Reese's Puffs Rap, Goomba Got Back, and a lot of other stuff.
Vavr would resume uploads in 2022, I think? and form new memes and injokes, along with putting on several events. I didn't watch much of Vavr at any stage, but I appreciated the fact that there was a place that people could just post whatever pretty much. This also led to me largely ignoring it though. Vavr is an acquired taste, and while it's best moments can often reach the same highs as SiivaGunner, the fact that it was so inconsistent throughout its life led me to not really listen to it much. Atleast towards the end the channel saw success, with the release of "main theme - penis".

Universe-Timeline Archival Unit

I have a history with this channel's founder, but I would like to mention it in the name of completeness. The third most popular fanchannel, excluding personal channels and KFAD-likes, U/TAU continues with the idea of SiIvaGunner's April Fools 2026 event, that being Undertale AU ideas applying to other media. For example, Underfell, an AU where everyone is edgy/has inverted morality, would apply to Super Mario, making Mario evil and cuss, while Bowser turns into a respectable guy. U/TAU has additional rules forbidding certain kinds of AUs and forcing rips to also feature the unaltered jokeless track. It's interesting, but has already managed to garner various controversies in its short run. It also has become the third most popular Siiva fanchannel. To say I'm jealous of the founder's success would be an understatement. Due to a falling out with the channel's founder, I can't really recommend U/TAU, though.

RecordCollector1972

RC takes the main bit of SiIvaGunner and applies it to the world of streaming. Instead of ripping exclusively songs present in video games, RC1972 can rip anything with a streaming or physical release. This does lead to occassional rips of video game soundtracks, but for the most part RC focuses on other types of music. A notable event was the Pop Champagne event, where every rip used the song Pop Champagne, a terrible, offkey song that somehow managed to chart as a single, and slowly went from terrible rips to actually listenable music. It was a very fun event, but half of the rips are intentionally dogshit. The channel itself is really good though.

RobvaTopper

RobvaTopper is largely a personal channel, but has acheived great success in the ripping world. Ostensively themed around Geometry Dash, the channel has a variety of jokes outside of that, and does a wide variety of events. The channel also used to rip a fake "DJ Hero 3", and I absolutely love the DJ Hero series so those rips were really fun.

Mysikt

Mysikt allows rips of most everything, but largely focuses on video game music. Rips of other things use different metadata intended to call other channels to mind, such as ReclusiveLemming for chiptune rips and Tech Product Bangers for rips of tech products. Mysikt also features the Discord server Ripping Resources, which is used to share resources for creating rips, thumbnails, and other related content. That server has a history all to itself, but I'm not sure it's within the scope of this site to cover.

ThatOneTVGuy

SiIvaGunner but focused on TV shows instead of video games.

Overall, the world of SiIvaGunner fanchannels is an interesting one, and there are many more that I either don't follow closely or forgot to mention here. There are hundreds of different channels that do a variety of different things, and ultimately I beleive the fact that anyone can make a fanchannel leads to many people trying out ripping who otherwise never would've tried to create rips. I myself wouldn't of started ripping had it not been for KVGM, and ultimately I like to think of myself as atleast decent now.
But that's all I have to say on the subject for now.
