Metadata

For the most part, SiIvaGunner attempts to follow the metadata laid out by the VGM channel it parodies, GiLvaSunner. This metadata is typically
[song name] ([Mix name, if applicable]) - [game name], or, mostly with NES titles, [game name] Music - [song name] ([Mix name, if applicable]).

The original GiLvaSunner channel was active for the better part of a decade, leading to some inconsistency within this, for example, Donkey Kong Jungle Beat and Mario and Luigi Dream Team both have slightly different variations on the format. For the most part, rips are titled based on this sequence.

GilvaSunner > Official Soundtrack > Sound Test > In-Game Name > Commonly Agreed Name > Best Guess

Alibeit SiIva team isn't perfect, and often will use the incorrect name for something. This usually is fixed eventually, unless a rip has a notable inaccurate title, such as in the case of Puzzle Room - Kirby Planet Robobot, which still uses the name from the original (removed) rip of the track, (which is different from both GiLva and the OST listing).

Some rips have slightly different descriptions as well. Every major event has a different "catchphrase" replacing "please read the channel description", (ex. the reboot with "read the channel description, please", Joke-Explainer's tenure with "For more information, please read the channel description!".) Most of the time these are either because of external circumstances, such as crediting someone/giving special thanks, or because of copyright agreements with a composer, but sometimes this is used to give away the joke or similar, as seen in the description of the rip Field of Hopes and Dreams (PAL Version) - Deltarune .

Overall, unless one is a frequent wiki editor or runs a fanchannel of their own, metadata inconsistencies don't matter too much. While it is fun to notice when SiIva makes an error, it's not nearly as important as the rips themselves.
