Getting started

What is SiIvaGunner?

What is Ripping?

Rips for Newcomers

Season 3

Season 3 kicks off with a revert to the original channel branding? Is SiIvaGunner awake and back to ripping? No, of course not silly! It's AI. Ok, but actually, Season 3 was the first time SiIvaGunner ever went to MAGFest, doing a pannel. They recieved some very interesting questions from fans, who didn't really understand the process behind ripping (several of these are just "what software do you use", though this might've been before the ripping guide which could make this excusable). Unlike future MAGFests, there was not a rave performed during 2018's MAGFest, making it significantly less cool.

King for Another Day

The main draw of Season 3 is clearly the King for a Day Tournament, a 16-character single-elimination bracket where contestants competed to have a day of themed rips. Notable figures included Etika (RIP), DJ Professor K from Jet Set Radio, "Weird Al" Yankovic, and an origjnal character representing old YouTube, Unregistered Hypercam 2. UHC 2 would go on to win King for a Day, and have a takeover filled with old YouTube sources, such as Never Gonna Give You Up, Paralyzer, and 009 Soundsystem's Dreamscape.

I'll be honest, when it was happening, I didn't really appreciate King for a Day, and often when I look back to try and get into it I'm not super impressed by what arrangments there are. Consensus seems largely against that though, so I may just be wrong. I don't think most of the music really clicked with me, which is a shame since well, it's the first time SIIva is out here doing orignal arrangments. They've never done something like that before! and... yeah... you can kinda tell.

Lore

The lore continues, following Wood Man and Robbie Rotten. Here, we find out that the out-of-universe delays of CCC episodes are very real things in the CCC, due to Haltmann fucking around with time dialation. This has clearly had an effect on Wood Man, who, for the most part, has been fucking around in alternate universes. This becomes more important later.
Season 3 ends with The Life and Times of Wade L.D., a CCC Side Story that follows the titular Wade L.D. life in Grandiose City, and gives a view into not only the Haltmann Works Company, but also the seedy underbelly of the city. Wade's story is long and interesting, but for now all that matters is that at the end it's revealed that the SiivaGunner running the channel since the start of 2018... has been an AI. And the AI becomes increasingly important as the story goes on.

Season 3 is often overshadowed by Season 4, the sequel to Season 3 with an even larger scope. KFAD 2 is one of the largest events in channel history even today.
